Premiere: Sidney Charles – Off To Space [Heavy House Society]

Heavy House Society drops its first release of 2023 with a classy and groove laden 3 track EP titled ‘Hausmeister’ from label owner Sidney Charles as he returns to his ever popular imprint in fine fashion.

Sidney Charles has had action packed 2022 as he has taken his signature brand of groove laden and energetic sounds all around the globe from North and South America, throughout Europe and over to the Far East and Australia enthralling crowds all along the way. As well as clocking up the air miles he delivered dancefloor weapons via influential labels such as Hot Creations, Tamango, Eastenderz and of course Heavy House Society as he retains his place as one of the leading artists in the scene. Now Charles has finally had time to return to the studio for his own and his imprints first release of the year, and the prolific German does not disappoint.

First out of the box is the lead and aptly titled track ‘Hausmeister’ where he gets things moving with his trademark bouncing groove right from the get-go. It’s an incredibly classy 90’s esq house track done in 2023 style where he adds a gentle sax where you could almost be mistaken in thinking you’re listening to Masters At Work..

Up next we come to ‘Dancefloor Equality’ where the track takes its name from a sample of Doc Martin speaking on a panel at a conference, where he speaks about house culture and the equality of the dancefloor. Charles layers this vocal on top of his 90s infused beats, adds drifting synth cuts which combine to drive you to the dancefloor to enjoy great music with like-minded souls, no matter the race, colour or their orientation..

Finally, we have ‘Off To Space’, as Charles finishes this EP off in interstellar fashion, as he delivers another rocket that will lift you off into a smooth deep and hypnotic journey, one that is set to be an essential selection for DJs who know how to craft a set and want to take the clubbers on a voyage into the heavens..
