Premiere: Manoova & Matu – Frozen [likeminded]

Likeminded is back and for the 11th reference offers a deep, minimalist release from the UK duo Manoova & Matu titled ‘Frozen’ EP which is well-aligned with the label’s discography.

The title track gives an atmosphere of mystery, surrounded by unpretentiously programmed rhythms and vocal samples. ‘Acemetrics’ is what follows up having a minimal and mainly atmospheric vibe, created by deep pads and textures. Last off, the release ends with ‘That’s Right’ which is a track that originates from melancholy sounds but grows in intensity thanks to the randomly programmed arps and synths mixed with a bouncy bassline and swingy drumbeat.
