Premiere: Dieru – Trephase [RAWSTREET]

RAWSTREET’s new year launches with a fresh new EP from Dieru that serves up four killer new cuts next to a remix from Matheiu.

Dieru is an important mainstay in the Californian electronic scene as a DJ, producer and promoter with more than 10 years pushing the scene in his region. Played and supported by artists like Apollonia, Barac, Dorian Paic and more, he has landed on labels such as Honne Music and Overall Music and impresses again here.

Voden is a squelchy and bass driven opener. It has a freaky character and tripped out late night details that make it perfect after party fodder. Trephase then pairs nice rubbery kicks with woozy synths and daubs of colour that bring warmth and soul to this abstract house groove. Tod then gets a little darker and more involved, with loopy drums and razor sharp hi hats that pull you in deep and keep you there.

Leton is a much more breezy and heady groove that journeys late into the night on a nice balmy vibe. Trephase (Matheiu Remix) rounds out with a darker, more paranoid baseline, and quirky sound design with glitches added for extra detail.
