Premiere: Odette – Hunger Game [VDK]

Odette returns to her VDK imprint with a peak-time summer banger, channelling late-nineties-early-noughties house and garage, with a lick of acid thrown into the mixer to get asses shaking. Hunger Game kicks off with a spritely glockenspiel intro, before Odette drops a pounding 4/4 alongside skittering breaksy snares and hats. A pulsing bassline underpins the track, before a vocal hook enters the fray alongside glorious acidic squiggles and a classic Odette breakdown at the midpoint. Get those arms in the air ready for the track to burst back into life at the drop and take us to the end with a dose of high-energy house music. Dancing obligatory.
