Premiere: Fran Bortolossi – Hands Down [Otherwise Records]

Fran Bortolossi introduces us to the fresh winds from southern Brazil in his new EP, Hieroglyphics. The work contemplates a journey with bare feet, feeling the breeze between your fingers and letting yourself be touched by the light of day. It’s the feeling of being let loose in music form.

With sturdy bass lines, the track “Hands Down” suggests a mindful surrender to the glow of clarity, allowing us to just be in the present as we watch the movement of life. “Hieroglyphics” brings synths intertwined with organic and percussive elements that create a symbiosis with a bold bass line.

The track is House Music, with an original twist and a vocal that surprises and teases the listener, impossible not to feel the connection. “Summer Keys” drops in the midst of the party and features the collab between Fran and Antônio Dal Bó, bringing sophisticated lines and a riff that lingers in your mind.
