Revival New York welcome Daniel Orpi this March as the Spanish-born, UK-based talent delivers his three- track ‘Ibiza 1995’ EP.
Barcelona-born, London-based DJ and producer Daniel Orpi looks set for a big year with the rising Spanish talent already racking up a slew of support from leading names such as Claude VonStroke, Solardo, Sidney Charles, Darius Syrossian, Carlo Lio, and Eli Brown whilst featuring across a host of reputable venues across the UK capital including fabric and Village Underground. Following a Beatport #1 on Kaluki Musik, plus his recent outing on Rawthentic which picked up support from BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Danny Howard, and further music via Saved and CUFF, late- March welcomes a first appearance on newly-minted New York label and collective Revival as he delivers his three- track ‘Ibiza 1995’ EP.
Title cut ‘Ibiza 1995’ alongside regular collaborator A21 welcomes a resonant slice of house music, combining driving melodies, skipping hats and infectious vocal chants and murmurs to reveal a sun-soaked production perfectly suited to both the open-air terraces and cavernous main rooms of the White Isle. Next, the lively ‘Taktik’ sees Orpi opt for skittering, swinging percussion amongst further vocal work and driving basslines, before closing via the commanding grooves and spiralling sonics of final production ‘Trigger’.
