Premiere: Gabriel BR – Cosmic Funk (Dexter Kane Remix) [Shadow Sanctuary]

Shadow Sanctuary skipper Dexter Kane and Gabriel BR’s paths have crossed many times over the years in Gabriel’s home country of Brazil. On this occasion, Gabriel jumped in Dexter’s ride to a gig and made sure to play his demo full whack on the car stereo; the rest, as they say, is history.

Something a little outside Shadow Sanctuary’s usual remit is on offer here as the Cosmic Funk EP includes elements of breaks, funk and deep melody. Dexter gives more than a casual nod to UK garage on his minimal roller of a remix.
